Dr. Akary completed his initial training at the University of California, where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. After which he practiced as a laser engineer where he was able to partake in the design of several widely used medical devices and defense projects resulting in several patents. He then went on to attend medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa where he was selected to further his training with USF in General Surgery and Urology at the Moffit Cancer Center, Tampa General Hospital, James A. Haley VA and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.

During his training Dr. Akary was chosen by the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his compassionate, collaborative, and scientifically excellent care. As a result of Dr. Akarys’ background and advanced training he has acquired advanced proficiency in modern Urologic techniques and prosthetics.
